Progress has been made to elucidation of the molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer. The increasing advancement in molecular biology research have contributes for understanding the carcinogenesis, with the possibility to do a correct diagnosis and establish an efficient therapy for patients with several cancer types. This is a precision oncology, but for colorectal cancer (CRC) patients we still have a lot to learn.
