Title: Stereotactic radiotherapy for lung tumours

Abstract

Lung Cancer Remains One Of The Leading Causes Of Cancer-Related Mortality Worldwide, With A High Incidence Of Both Primary And Metastatic Tumors. While Surgery, Chemotherapy, And Conventional Radiotherapy Have Been Mainstays In Lung Cancer Treatment, Advancements In Medical Technology Have Led To The Development Of More Precise And Effective Treatment Options. One Such Advancement Is Stereotactic Radiotherapy (Srt), Which Has Emerged As A Valuable Tool In The Management Of Lung Tumors, Offering Patients A Less Invasive Yet Highly Targeted Treatment Approach.

Understanding Stereotactic Radiotherapy:
Stereotactic Radiotherapy, Also Known As Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (Sbrt) Or Radiosurgery, Involves The Precise Delivery Of High Doses Of Radiation To A Specific Target Within The Body, Such As A Tumor, While Sparing Surrounding Healthy Tissue. This Precision Is Achieved Through Advanced Imaging Techniques, Such As Ct Scans Or Mri, Which Enable The Radiation Oncologist To Accurately Locate The Tumor And Create A Detailed Treatment Plan.

Biography

He Graduated From At University Of Health Studies In Zagreb, Croatia. Since 2014, I Have Been Employed At The Department Of Radiotherapy Tumor Clinic, Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, Croatia. As A Radiologic Technologist, I Have Been Involved In Patient Preparation And Delivery Of Radiotherapy Treatments, As Well As Basic Qc Measurements. Since 2017, I Have Attended Additional Training In Contouring Of Organs At Risk To Assist In The Process Of Radiotherapy Planning, And I Have Been Actively Involved In This Role Since Then. I Have Participated In The Educational Programs "Target Volume Determination - From Imaging To Margin" In Moscow, Russia, And "Advanced Skills In Modern Radiotherapy" In Brussels. I Have Attended Several Congresses Related To Radiotherapy, Including Seetro In Skopje, Macedonia, Seetro In Sarajevo, Bosnia And Herzegovina And Estro In Vienna. Currently, I Am Participating In A Project Of Education Of Radiologic Technologists In Therapy Within The Healthcare System, Organized By The International Atomic Energy Agency (Iaea) And The European Society For Radiation Oncology (Estro). The Project Is The First Part Of A Three-Year Educational Project Titled "Best Practice In Radiation Oncology: Train The Rtt Trainers" In Brussels And Vienna. I Have Authored A Professional Article Titled "Delineating Organs At Risk In Radiotherapy," Which Was Published In The Croatian Journal Radiološki Vjesnik. Based On The Published Article, I Held A Lecture (Webinar) At 3rd International Conference On Oncology Research And Treatment In Dubai (Uae) On Topic "Delineating Organs At Risk In Radiotherapy" As An Invited Lecturer.
