Title: Changes of platinum resistance biochemical markers under the influence of hyperthermia during the HIPEC procedure in recurrent ovarian cancer

Abstract

Platinum resistance biochemical markers  may be useful for choosing a rational tactics of oncological treatment of patients with recurrent ovarian cancer.  One of the most reliable markers is ERCC1.  We conducted a retrospective study on a group of patients with recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian cancer who underwent suboptimal cytoreduction and HIPEC, followed by second look surgery with complete cytoreduction. A significant decrease in the expression of ERCC1 in tumor cells under the influence of hyperthermia was found, which may indicate a decrease in resistance to platinum drugs.
